(VIDEO) 'The Walking Dead' hikes viewership; sneak peek to next episode

The Walking Dead is fast becoming one of the most watched television series at present. It has posted a 15% in viewership, after five episodes according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Its fifth episode was watched by 5.5 million over the weekend.

For those who are not yet hooked to the series, the show is based on an eponymous comic book series. The Walking Dead  "tells the story of the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and follows a small group of survivors traveling across the United States in search of a new home away from the hordes of zombies."  The group is led by Rick Grimes, a police officer in the old world played by Andrew Licoln (Love Actually).

(VIDEO) Justin Bieber speaks against bullying in new It Gets Better Project PSA

Justin Bieber adds his voice against bullying, which has fast become a uniting advocacy in Hollywood. Justin recorded a video message for It Gets Better Project, which spearheads the anti-bullying campaign.

In the Its Get Better Project video, Canadian singer is shown saying: "I just wanted to say there's nothing cool about being a bully."

"If you're getting bullied, make sure to tell someone and, you know, it gets better and if you're a bystander, make sure to step in and, you know, help out."

Bieber himself has fallen victim to bullying, after another teenager hurled gay slurs at him, which prompted Bieber to punch the boy in retaliation. TMZ reported that the singer told his friends that such remarks could be hurtful.

Big Day Out 2011 announces local Australian acts for concert series

Big Day Out 2011 concert series organizershas unveiled the second and final list of line-up, featuring Australian musicians, and local acts from cities where festivals will be held.

'Ugly Betty' actor Michael Brea murdered, mistook mother for the devil

"Ugly Betty" actor Michael Brea said that he murdered his mother mistaking her for the devil. Brea was arrested for killing his mother in Brooklyn, New York, using a sword used for Masonic rites. Brea was then taken to Bellevue Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

New York Post reports that during the evaluation, Brea said: "When I looked at my mother, I saw the devil."

Brea, who also had a small part in Step Up 3D killed his mother, aged 55, by using an ornate masonic sword, reportedly 3-foot long. According to reports, Brea had repeatedly stabbed and hit his mother on her head with the sword.

Upon hearing the noises coming from Brea's apartment, the neighbors made calls to the police, who then found the woman dead in the bathroom. According to neighbors, the 31-year old Brea was heard to have repeatedly shouted "Repent!" at his mother, and something about "the architect of the universe" a term used by Freemason to refer to the supreme being. Brea was a member of the Freemason and had been in a meeting earlier in the evening.

Police officers have arrested Michael Brea on charges of murder and possession of weapons. 

Justin Bieber coached in the art of flirting

'Baby' singer Justin Bieber is known as a flirt. From reality star Kim Kardashian to the demure Selena Gomez, Bieber has been somehow romantically linked to all kindof women. At the still-tender age of 16, it may be said that the Canadian singer has attained mastery in flirting.

However, not many know that Justin has taken tuition for the art of flirting. Bieber has a coach who teaches him how to flirt and do it the perfect way.

According to reports, Justin has got an adviser that goes by the name of Ryan. Bieber's coach gives the singer tips on how to conduct himself when approached by the opposite sex. These steps are aimed to maintain his teen-sensation image and impress his female fans. .

This might explain the ease Justin Bieber displays when he goes on to impress gals- be they Hollywood stars or be the gal next door. Bieber has flirted with pop singers Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry, and fellow teen stars Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez. Is Justin Bieber on the rise to become the modern day Cassonova? His fans and detractors just have to wait and see.

Men's Heath Australia develops own fragrance for men

Men’s Health Australia  has developed its own custom-made fragrance, MH For Men.  It is said that this is  an Australian publishing first, and a men' s magazines world-first.

MH For Men was developed by leading Australian perfumer John Lambeth, whose brief was to create a signature Men’s Health scent that “conveys a sense of freshness, energy and potency while also being alluring to the opposite sex... a fragrance that will upgrade your personal space with a single squirt.” 

Men's Health editor Bruce Ritchie explained: “MH For Men fragrance provides a first-of-its-kind way for Men’s Health to extend our brand beyond the pages of our magazine and into the everyday lives of our readers."

Readers will experience the fragrance in the magazine‟s December issue which is on sale today, with an eight-page feature designed to help men better navigate the department store fragrance aisle and choose the right scent for them. 

Ritchie added: “With the festive season approaching, we wanted to find a way to cut through the waffle and provide guys with a solid understanding of how choosing the right fragrance can play a key role in improving their mood, defining their style and even making them more attractive to women.” 

MH For Men features bright notes of lavender and citrus, boosting beta waves in the brain and making you more alert. The fragrance mellows into woodiness with middle notes of cedar, patchouli and sandalwood, and woody base notes of musk, amber and oak moss. Compositionally, the fragrance is a complex combination of 51 ingredients. 

Erica Moore, fragrance evaluator for international scent classification organisation, Fragrances of the World, described MH for Men as “a herbaceous/woody fragrance that has a nostalgic, almost vintage, masculine quality that‟s really appealing... It‟s fresh and light, with a „just got out of the shower connotation that is fail-safe... I think women will definitely like it.” 

A scent strip imbued with the fragrance will run alongside the "Making Scents" feature, allowing readers to experience MH For Men. The scent will not be made available for commercial purchase. 

Deadpool #30 to be released on December 2010

Deadpool #30, from fan favorite writer Daniel Way and artist Bong Dazo, is set to be released next month, on December. The character has been portrayed in the last X-Men film, Origins, by Ryan Reynolds.

The Merc with Mouth has been bitten by “The Curse of the Mutants”… and he’s loving every minute of it!? Will Robert Pattinson still 'love' Kristen Stewart post-'Twilight Saga'?

Twilight star Kristen Stewart fears that Robert Pattinson will dump her post-Twilight Saga. The Hollywood actress apparently has some reservations about Pattinson's devotion to her.

Stewart is quoted in the media as telling Robert Pattinson that she fears for the future of their relationship. The two met and fell into a romance while filming for the movie adaptations of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling series Twilight. 

The franchise is now on its fourth and final film, which will be split into Breaking Dawn: Part 1 & Part 2. The last film will be shown in 2012.

Will still the romance between Kristen and Robert last post-Twilight Saga? That's what Kristen might have been contemplating when he asked Robert Pattinson.

According to Showbiz Spy, a sourced told a British newspaper that the Hollywood couple are currently having a very difficult time.

Showbiz  Spy reports that:

“When they were apart this summer, it was extremely hard on them both,” a source told the UK’s Now magazine.

“So after a lot of heart-to-heart chats, they’ve put a plan together to prevent the rows when they’re apart.

“Kristen’s even suggested they could get married to show how committed they are.

“Rob says they’re too young but he doesn’t want to lose her.”

But there aren't wedding bells yet to be heard. Kristen Stewart has reportedly told Robert Pattinson that they should refrain from discussing intimate details about their relationship to avoid pressure. 

Marvel's Greatest Comics to return next year - Marvel Entertainment

Marvel Entertainment has announced the return of the Marvel’s Greatest Comics program. The program will highlight Marvel’s most acclaimed action comic series with new printings of these fan-favorite titles priced at only $1 each.

Marvel Senior Vice-President (Sales &Circulation) David Gabriel said: “Marvel's Greatest Comics program was a huge success last year.”

"In our ongoing efforts to help retailers we’re offering a new group of titles at one dollar that serve as primers for some of our best collections."

Marvel's Greatest Comics program will return in March 2011. It offers an affordable introduction to some of the hottest selling Marvel Collected editions.

Marvel's Greatest Comics are great action comic items to have on hand all year round. They are especially beneficial to have during the annual Free Comic Book Day (May 7th, 2011).

Michael Douglas' ex-wife Diandra's lawsuit dismissed by Manhattan Supreme Court judge

The lawsuit of Michael Douglas' ex wife for half of the Hollywood actor's paycheck for his latest film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps has been dismissed by a Manhattan judge.

Diandra Douglas argued that she is entitled to Michael Douglas' earning from the Wall Stree sequel since Michael had starred on the original as the greedy banker Gekko while they were still married.

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps revolves around the 2008 financial crisis and has grossed nearly $130 million worldwide.

However, Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper dismissed the case since New York City was apparently the wrong venue because Diandra and Michael had finalized their divorce in California.

People quotes the lawyer for Michael Douglas, as saying that the actor was very excited about the news of judge's decision.

"This case should never have been brought in the first instance and certainly not in New York, " said Marilyn Chinitz, counsel for Michael Douglas.

"I hope she realizes she wasted a lot of time and money. Hopefully she will move on and leave Michael alone finally."

Diandra's lawyer Nancy Chemtob said their camp was planning an appeal. Chemtob said: "We respectfully disagree with the decision, and intend to appeal. Both parties are residents of New York, and the case should be decided here."
